The Appeal
A true grand-touring classic, the Moto Guzzi 750S is designed for long, easy rides and smooth power delivery. From the riding position to the torquey delivery of that big V-twin, it makes for a truly desirable classic bike that can be ridden regularly and over distance.
Presented in original specification, having been professionally restored and in fine condition, there’s much to recommend this handsome bike. If you’ve always wanted to experience riding a period Moto Guzzi, or just want to own a classic bike that offers great riding capability, this would be an excellent choice.

The Condition
Smart period black and red livery
Black vinyl upholstered saddle
Stainless spoke wheels with Avon tyres
Looking at the tank, frame and side panels, it’s clear that this bike has been well cared for. The paintwork appears to be in good order, with only some minor marks and swirls. Likewise, the saddle looks very smart, with no significant wear, no tears and no sagging.
This was the last Moto Guzzi model with the frame made from chrome-molybdenum steel. That frame is finished in black and shows here in fine fettle, with no damage or issues we could see.
Similarly, all of the mechanical elements and controls look well, with an attractive light patina from use, but no damage or major blemishing apparent. The brightwork has a good sheen to it, with some very light evidence of minor patina.
Overall, the bike looks to have been restored to a very high standard and would surely be the pride and joy of any rider.
The Mechanics
Four-stroke, 90-degree 748cc, air-cooled V-twin
Twin Dell’Orto carburettors
Five-speed transmission
Shaft driven
Twin front disc brakes, drum to the rear
Telescopic front forks and rear swing arm with dual shocks
That hearty V-twin offers heaps of low-down grunt, making the 750S one of the fastest bikes of its era – capable of more than 200Km/h. Mated to a reasonably long wheelbase, shaft drive and strong brakes, it makes for a comfortable yet agile ride.
Having been comprehensively professionally restored, the vendor tells us that the bike is in perfect mechanical condition, with no faults or issues reported.
Summary
If there’s a space in your garage for a true classic, presented in excellent condition and genuinely usable on modern roads – then we’d encourage you to take a serious look at this lovely 750S.
